Exfoliation Body Wraps
Why you should get one
Body Wraps are all the rage these days. But which one do you get? Detox, Hydration, Slimming. How often should you get one?
Credit is given to the ancient Egyptians for the practice of exfoliating. In the Middle ages, wine was used as a chemical exfoliant. Today, we use several agents to exfoliate the body; salt, sugar, and mud are of the most common. You should not exfoliate your skin more than once a week, as irritation of the skin can occur.
Conveniences of air conditioning and controlled heating, it’s hard for our skin to adapt to changes in the weather. Winter months are drying, and with the added cold temperatures, your skin starves for moisture. These are good reasons to be getting a hydrating body wrap.
Taking care of your body doesn’t stop with regular exercise, diet, massage, and facials. We take great care of our inside but too quickly forget to attend to our outside. Exfoliation is a must for healthy skin. As you get older, the cell rejuvenation process slows. This causes a cell build up that can clog pores and leaves your skin dull, dry, and rough.
You should limit exfoliation to no more than once a week, however a full body exfoliation monthly would do your skin wonders.
